Die neue Version beinhaltet erstmals Indoor-Karten, allerdings noch ohne Navigation. Weiteres Feature der aktuellen Google Maps-Version ist eine neue Symbolleiste am oberen Bildschirmrand. Über diese kann nun zwischen den verschiedenen Google Maps-Ablegern Karte (Maps selbst), Places, Navigation und Latitude gewechselt werden.
